# Lending & Borrowing Deep Dive

> The full reference for a lending position: health factor, LTV, safe borrow and withdraw amounts, interest metrics, asset tables, transaction history, historical performance, and liquidation records.

The full reference for a lending position: health factor, LTV, safe borrow and withdraw amounts, interest metrics, asset tables, transaction history, historical performance, and liquidation records. Open any position from the **Lending & Borrowing** page (or the dashboard's Lending & Borrowing tab) and click **Expand Insights** to see all of it.

> **Note:** For the card-level overview and how to read the LTV bar at a glance, see [Lending & Borrowing Cards](/guides/lending-borrowing-cards-dashboard).

## Protocol Coverage

| **Protocol** | **Chains** | **Notes** |
| - | - | - |
| **Aave V3** | Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BNB Chain, Optimism, Polygon | On Ethereum, the Main, Lido, and Horizon markets are each tracked as their own position |
| **Morpho** | Ethereum, Base | Tracked per market—one position per Morpho market |
| **Kamino** | Solana | Tracked per obligation |

Each position is one protocol + one market + one wallet, with the **Market** badge showing the chain. Lending data requires a plan with lending protocols enabled—without one, the page is blurred with an upgrade prompt. See [Plans & Billing](/guides/plans-and-billing).

## The Header

| **Element** | **What it does** |
| - | - |
| **Market badge** | The chain this position lives on |
| **Open in \[Protocol]** | Opens the position on the protocol's own site—DeFi Orbit is read-only, so supplying, repaying, and withdrawing happen there |
| **Notes** | Your private [notes](/guides/notes) for this wallet's position on this protocol and chain, with a count badge |
| **Refresh** | Re-fetches the position on demand, with the last-updated time shown beside it |

## Headline Metrics

| **Metric** | **What it means** |
| - | - |
| **Health Factor** | Your liquidation risk indicator—above 1.0 is safe, below 1.0 risks liquidation. Shown green when comfortable, amber below 1.5, red below 1.25. A position with **no debt shows ∞** |
| **Net Worth** | Total value of your collateral minus total debt |
| **Current LTV** | The percentage of your total collateral value you've borrowed against, with the LTV bar beside it |
| **Safe Borrow Available** | The maximum additional amount you can safely borrow without risking liquidation |
| **Borrow Utilization** | How much of your maximum borrowing capacity you're currently using |
| **Wallet** | Which of your wallets holds the position—click to copy the address |

### The LTV Bar

The bar turns your Current LTV into a picture: a green fill for where you are, an **amber marker at your Maximum LTV**, and a **red marker at your Liquidation LTV**. Hover it for the exact numbers:

* **Maximum LTV** - The highest LTV your debt can reach as a percentage of your collateral. This is a protocol borrowing cap, **not** your liquidation point.
* **Liquidation LTV** - The debt-to-collateral ratio at which your position *can* be liquidated. Keep your LTV well below it.

## Supplied Assets (Collateral)

Everything you've supplied, with the card showing the **Total** and your **Weighted Avg. APY** across collateral:

| **Column** | **What it shows** |
| - | - |
| **Supplied** | The token you've deposited |
| **Balance** | Token amount and USD value |
| **Supply APY** | The yield you're earning on that asset |
| **Max LTV** | The loan-to-value ratio for that specific collateral asset—how much can be borrowed against it |

## Borrowed Assets (Debt)

Everything you owe, with the **Total** and the **Weighted Avg. APY** you're paying:

| **Column** | **What it shows** |
| - | - |
| **Borrowed** | The token you've borrowed |
| **Balance** | Token amount and USD value of the debt |
| **Borrow APY** | The protocol interest rate on the loan—this does not deduct any Merit incentives for the asset |
| **Liquidation Price** | The USD price at which your Health Factor would reach 1.0, if only this borrowed asset's price rises and everything else stays constant |

Multiple borrowed assets mean multiple liquidation prices—watch the volatile ones.

## Risk Metrics & the Target Health Factor

The Risk Metrics section answers "how much room do I have?"—and lets you set your own definition of *safe*. The **Target Health Factor slider** (0.90 to 3.00 in steps of 0.05, defaulting to 1.50) drives the two "Safe" numbers below, and your setting is remembered for your account:

| **Metric** | **What it means** |
| - | - |
| **Max Borrow Capacity** | The maximum total you could borrow based on your collateral value |
| **Available to Borrow** | What's currently available to borrow without exceeding protocol limits |
| **Safe Withdraw Amount** | The most collateral you can withdraw while keeping your health factor at your target |
| **Safe Borrow Amount** | The most you can additionally borrow while keeping your health factor at your target |

Slide the target up for conservative numbers, down to see how far the position can be pushed.

> **Note:** The slider is a what-if tool for this page. To be *alerted* at a health factor threshold—by Telegram, Email, or Discord—set that separately per wallet in [Notifications & Alerts](/guides/notifications-alerts#health-factor-alerts), where you can also snooze alerts while actively managing a position.

## Interest Metrics

| **Metric** | **What it means** |
| - | - |
| **Projected Net Earnings** | Estimated supply interest minus borrow costs, with Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly tabs |
| **Daily Supply Interest** | Interest earned on your collateral per day |
| **Daily Borrow Interest** | Interest cost on your debt per day |
| **Daily Net Interest** | Earned minus paid—positive means the position pays you to hold it |

## Transaction History

The position's event timeline, filterable by type:

| **Column** | **What it shows** |
| - | - |
| **Date** | When the event happened |
| **Type** | **Supplied**, **Withdrawn**, **Borrowed**, **Repaid**, or **Liquidated** |
| **Asset** | The token involved |
| **Value** | USD value of the event |
| **Token Price** | The token's price at the time |
| **Tx Hash** | A link to the transaction on the chain's explorer |

> **Note:** The transaction history table is currently available for Aave V3 positions. Morpho and Kamino positions show their running history on the chart below instead.

## Your Historical Performance

A chart of the position over time, with two views:

* **Net Worth** (default) - The position's value day by day; the tooltip breaks each point into **Collateral** and **Debt**
* **Health Factor** - Your liquidation buffer over time—the view that shows how close that drawdown actually came

Markers on the timeline flag the moments the position **went into debt** or was **fully repaid**. History depth varies by protocol: Aave charts the position's full history, Morpho the last 30 days, and Kamino daily history since the position was created. Full historical data requires a plan with historical snapshots—see [Plans & Billing](/guides/plans-and-billing). For the LP-position equivalent, see [Historical Performance](/guides/position-history).

## Liquidation History

If the position has ever been liquidated, a dedicated table records each event: the collateral seized and the debt it covered. Expand an event for the full post-mortem:

* **Amount, Price at Event, and Value at Event** for the seized collateral
* **Debt Covered** and the **Liquidation Penalty** (the gap between collateral taken and debt repaid, in USD and percent)
* **Price Today and Value Today** for the same collateral—including whether the liquidation saved you money versus holding, or cost you the recovery

## Notes

The **Notes** button keeps your own record on the position—why you opened it, your deleveraging plan, links to research. Lending notes are kept per wallet per chain, so one set of notes covers that wallet's whole position on the protocol. See [Notes](/guides/notes).
