# Audit Trail

> A dated record of every portfolio you run. DeFi Orbit snapshots your portfolio's net worth every day, then shows the history as a table, a daily PnL chart, and a calendar.

## How Snapshots Are Captured

Every day, DeFi Orbit records a snapshot of your total net worth across all your tracked wallets (archived wallets are excluded). Snapshots are taken automatically early each day (UTC), and an extra snapshot is captured whenever you create or update a share link, or a viewer refreshes a shared portfolio—so shared records stay current.

Because the record builds one day at a time, the Audit Trail becomes more useful the longer your account runs: you can show what a portfolio was worth on any date since tracking began.

## The Three Widgets

### Daily PnL Variation

A bar chart of day-over-day gains and losses for the month—one bar per day, so the shape of a good or bad month is visible at a glance.

### PnL Calendar

The same month as a calendar grid (UTC days). Click any day to see the net worth on that day, the previous day's net worth, and the variation between them—useful when a client asks about one specific date.

### Snapshot Overview

The full history as a table:

| **Column** | **What it shows** |
| - | - |
| **Date** | The day the snapshot was taken |
| **Wallet addresses** | Which wallets were included in that day's total |
| **Net worth** | Total portfolio value on that date |
| **Variation** | Change from the previous snapshot, in USD and percent |

Filter the table by date range, and page through history 10, 25, or 50 rows at a time.

## Why It Matters

If you report to clients, investors, or auditors, the Audit Trail is your evidence: a daily, dated series of what the book was worth and how it moved, recorded by the platform rather than assembled by hand at reporting time.
